ANITA GIGI is an international creative director, senior interior/environmental designer producing dynamic concepts and spaces for museums, galleries, festivals and commercial ventures. Working closely with curators, artists, museum and gallery directors ANITA GIGI DESIGN transforms spaces, content and media into sophisticated, engaging environments, illustrating spatial stories, connecting artwork, architecture and the curatorial narrative.

Career highlights: lead designer at the 57th, 59th and 60th Venice Biennale for the Australian Pavilion (artist -Tracey Moffatt), Aotearoa New Zealand Pavilion (artist -Yuki Kihara) and Timor-Leste’s inaugural Pavilion (artist -Maria Madeira).

On an architectural study tour of Europe, she became enamoured with the ability to combine diverse cultural narratives & works of art into a tangible space, this was the start of her design practice. Her thoughtful, collaborative and narrative-driven approach to design has led to a strong connection with both clients, institutions and audiences.
             
Specialisation and expertise in the use of moving image and digital technologies, has given ANITA GIGI an in-depth insight into visual communication that inspires.

Currently ANITA GIGI teaches at Monash MADA in Spatial Design - a great way to connect with the next generation of designers and innovators.
